Did you know that 80% of dogs over the age of 8 suffer from arthritis? Perhaps even more surprising, 20% of dogs of any age are likely to suffer from it!

You can’t cure arthritis. But you can manage it and slow down its progress. The best way to manage arthritis is to use a combination of different treatments. There is so much you can do as an owner-such as managing your dog’s exercise, weight and home environment. But a team approach works best! There are a wide range of medications and treatments your vet can select from, and physiotherapy treatments such as laser therapy, massage and strengthening exercises, along with hydrotherapy, can also be a critical part of your dog’s treatment plan. It is important though, to keep monitoring how your dog is coping because arthritis will progress and so treatment needs to be reviewed, and possibly changed, as it does.

Many people aren’t aware of this wide range of treatments to help you manage arthritis in your dog. At Woof & Ready we would like to offer you the opportunity to come and find out more!
